A Review of Dallas Willard's "Life Without Lack: Living in the Fullness of Psalm 23

“One of our greatest needs today is for people to really see and really believe the things they already profess to see and believe.” This brief quote sets the tone for Life Without Lack: Living in the Fullness of Psalm 23, a posthumous release of material from Dallas Willard. The book was gathered from a conference Willard led for a local church. If, like me, you’ve admired Willard’s work from afar, but were never able to hear his teaching in person, you are in for a treat. A friend from the conference partnered with Willard’s daughter to morph the conference into book form. As you would expect, the information is brilliant and practical, all that we appreciate about Dallas Willard. The nature of the material makes you feel like you are sitting in the room as Willard discusses his greatest love, God and the life he has called us to. He works through Psalm 23 and invites us all into a “life without lack”. In classic Willard fashion, he draws us in, encouraging us, and leaving our hearts and minds deep in thought long after we’ve put the book down. Do yourself a favor and purchase this book when it becomes available tomorrow, Feb. 26th. Willard’s impact and memory will continue to resonate throughout the church for years to come.
